"Special" Tail-Less Sailfin Tangs

Someone apparently has/had Desjardini Sailfin Tangs, minus their caudal fin, which as it has no evolutionary advantage is clearly either though deformation or disfigurement. I've no idea why someone would want one of these.

Poor thing :(
At least he wouldn't know he didn't have a tail. I've seen a Yellow that was the same, swam remarkably well and was full of attitude to.
