maybe,

i would be surprised if it was alk, mag or cal. i would be thinking, Phosphate, nitrate, PH, oxygen, something stinging / upsetting it, ammonia (obviously). these cause far more stress then alk, mag and cal unless your readings are mega low. just keep monitoring and keeping an eye.

Thanks:

Cheers

The anenomie is well out the way and nowhere near it.

Oxygen I should be able to rule out as all was fine even when fully stocked with fish.

There is 0 ammonia in the system and all other SPS have really long polyp extention.

I will soon be investing in an Apex this will make logging much easier and will hopefully benifit the system.

I am wondering if I have any more hitchiker crabs in there I have so far pulled out 4 so that's a possibility.

Are any of the other corals nearby? As it happened in the night hints at some warfare has gone down during the night?

You never know mate. I lost 2 recently due to the all drop etc when I went on holiday. SPS just want stability. I have run my all at 5dkh cal at 375 and had no issues. Growth was terrible but the coral was living ok. Noticed massive difference in colour and growth once the Alk and cal went up though.

The one you're losing looks like a stylo which I have some frags of if u lose it I will do you super cheap. Mine is more of a purple though. I wonder about your water as that red dragon died also didn't it? That's a more sensitive acro. If the seriatapora starts to have issues I would be very concerned as that stuff is quite hard in the SPS world.

I thought I had updated it obviously did not post :(

Picked up some more pipe and have now moved the container to cabinet to right and is now lower then doser I tidied up the pipework this about the best I can get it.

Tested the water and Calcium and Alk is fine it has pushed mag upto 1320 which is fine and can't see any issues coming from that all corals look fine.

I'm just so glad it was not ALK that could of been disastrous.
