So I bought some frags from the ebay seller coralfragsrus. I messaged asking about tank params etc and had a response with a phone number saying call me.
I called, and twenty minutes later had all the info I wanted answered, and had a couple of additional corals added to the order as he (Jason) had more in stock that weren't listed.

So the average price of each frag is near the £11 mark, they were auctions; so last minute bidding!

So the eight decent sized frags turned up in a large poly box with damp news paper and three heat packs.

All the frags were double bagged, however. ... the inner bag had both the bottom corners snipped off, I guess to allow water to move but keep the coral in place.

Just another pic of the frags.

So I put all the bags in the sump and went back to work (frags delivered before one)

When I got home emptied the contents of all the bags into a bucket and drip acclimated for longer than I had planned as I popped out.

So....... they're in the tank and I have just taken these pics.

Fungia - nice colours, about the size of a 50 pence piece before it inflates.

Hystrix - bit brown, but I knew that, fragable too.

I bought mostly acros! Bit of a chance I know.

Fragable?

Frag garden lol.
I should really sort this out!!

Nice!

And good luck with the Acros!

The Long Tentacle Fungia plate is nice. Have you fed it yet? Seen the food all magically rise to it's mouth? :D

Not a fan of the square frag plugs. Even the round flat ones are hard to place. Why pointed plugs aren't used which you can jam into holes, etc I don't know.

Is this the seller? It shows no items. :S

This is the listing for the hystrix I won, I use the app and not the Internet for ebay, so I figured this link may be more useful.
But he doesn't have on at the mo.

Yup, Just checked out on PC in work!

So... the next thing will be placement and either attempt to trim down the "plugs" or leave as they are and let the frag base out over?

I think the square edges will always be noticeable and unnatural. Maybe get some pliers or snips and clip it into an odd shape, somewhat like the country of Ireland. :D It'll blend in much nicer when it colours up.

Although leave them be for a few days if they've only just gone in.

i'm not going to touch em till they need placing, I'm currently watching them to make sure all polyps are out, and flesh isn't stripping. that acro in the penultimate pic has based out all over the tile, so that'll have to stay.

Blimey, blast from the past this is! I actually ended talking to the guy on the phone, we kinda got off topic after talking frags, we started to talk about cryptic zones within filtration! I'll use them again once I'm backon top of things, you can see the quality of the frags and how well they were paked
