Does anyone know the difference (I can't find any, the descriptions down to the refrigerant, titanium heat exchanger, dimensions etc are all identical)
One is the D-D DC300 at £400
The other is the Hailea 130 at £256
Anyone?

The D-D one has a red button, the Hailea has a green one. 😉

Don't know to be honest - just guessing - maybe it's like the D-D Jecod wavemakers compared to the Jebao ones straight from China.

In that case you get a better (UK certified) power supply, a proper manual written in English rather than Chinglish,  somebody does some QC to ensure all the parts are in the box and you get a proper warranty.

I've had a quick look on the manuals, if they are up to date then the difference is just the position of the heat exchanger (not the condenser).
There is a british supplier who I could get the Hailea from and obviously they have to honour any warranty.
For the difference in price, I think it's worth a punt.
At least the manual's in english.
To all intents and purposes, they are absolutely identical, I'm not prepared to believe that D-D make theirs here or Germany, they're from the same source in China, just rebadged

I've emailed the various suppliers to see if they concur on them being suitable for marine, but one of the selling points of the DD chiller (lets remember that they are identical) is that the titanium heat exchanger makes it suitable for marine aquariums.
I think I'll take a punt once the replies come in, there's far too many similarities for them to be cheap copies, but actually the parent manufacturer
