Just wondering if it would be OK to use the waste water from RO production in my freshwater tanks as a water change there, I already use Prime to condition normal tank water

Do you have an established planted FW set up? IF you try it use the Prime like you would tap water. My only concerns would be the TDS but not sure how that would affect the FW tank

Does TDS increase when you produce RO water? Only reason is I currently use tap water with Prime for water changes in freshwater

You'll get concentrated nutrients in the waste water. Everything filtered out, and not trapped in the resin and filters. Might be ok if you have loads of plants to suck up the nutrients. If not, it's algae food.

You'll get concentrated other stuff too, like the chorine added to keep our tap water clean, and fluoride, etc. I'd treat the RO waste as toxic to be honest.

I personally wouldn’t but would def use it to water plants if you have a garden. They’ll love the concentrated nutrients.
