Evening all

Im wondering if its possible to buy the US Apex and use plug adapters to get them to fit with uk plugs

I know US is 110v however a lot of eletronics are 110/240 these days.

Im thinking for several reasons,
a. I want one
b. They dont do the UK sockets in the new model
c. The release of the Trident in the UK is not even known yet as far as I know?

Hopefully not just made myself look daft
Cheers

Hi mate, there are a few posts from people living in Europe getting US version then use converter/inverter but would you really want to risk?

I just got Apex 2016, energy bar seems to be same as the classic model, you would get 4 probes ... and no display screen but you can reuse the screen on the classic model.

I think so mate, but it’s going to be expensive... another 600 or so plus running cost of about 30 per month of you set it to test  twice a day

I will have to save up for it, the amount i have spent already the missus will likely paxk my bags lol

You could do it with a inverter but I’m not sure how easy it would be to get one as dealers in the us have restrictions on them so they can’t sell them over seas.
Also if you get a problem with it I’m not sure how willing apex will be to offer support as it’s not designed for this market.

I expect we will see the trident second quarter of 2019 at the earliest from what I have read and it will work with the uk spec 2016, it won’t work with any classic units though.
