Thanks to you all especially to dave for his input I have been feeding phytoplankton along with living copepods and rotifers plus small shredded norri the seastar is still alive and spends more time on the sand bed climbing the rocks more and not the glass hope that's a good sign as I do not want to lose him he seems to stay in one place for about 2 hours then moves to another place near where was could he be grazing? hope so will keep you all posted.   Robin.

Nice one Robin, it was always a fear of mine when livestock started to look peaky, good to know it's on the mend, I think we all breathe a sigh of relief, plus we all can learn from it.

Thanks, Dave sea star is doing well now spends most of the time apparently grazing on the algae or whatever it is on the rocks it does look like a green moss thing it grows all over the rocks and he seems to like it so I'm quite happy for him as it grows very quickly too much for the snails to cope with.
