Thought I'd just post a few pics up of these little guys who have now found each other after spending a while apart since going into my aquarium. They are fascinating to watch. I find it intriguing that a creature so small is so clever as to be able to construct its little  hideouts.

The photos aren't such good quality as they are taken on my Blackberry phone but you can get the idea!

Really fancied these too, but not at the expense of not being able to have any other shrimp.

I've always wanted a pair of these. Any symbiotic relationship is fascinating to have. The main one obviously the clown & anemone pairing.

I've had pistol shrimp hitch hikers though, do you not find it's clicking annoying? Does it click a lot?

Did you get them as a pair?
They are cool to watch.
One gets a home, the other gets a look out.
I would also like to know if there is alot of clicking?
And do you have any other shrimp?
I should really sort this out!!

My pistol shrimp hitchhiker is evil.... he clicks a lot! More often than not throughout the night once lights go off...well annoying as can hear it upstairs!

I read somewhere that the symbiotic species of pistol shrimp, especially Alpheus Randalli, due to their size are not a threat to the cleaner shrimp. I have a cleaner shrimp but he's fairly big I've had him about 2 years.

Yes I got them as a pair. I haven't noticed much clicking but Emma said it does it about 3 or 4 times a day. Never heard anything through the night.
Yes I have a fairly big cleaner shrimp had him about 3 years.

I hardly notice it although Emma has a few times. She said it does it 3 or 4 times a day just a single click

You always think it's a snail or crab falling and tumbling against the glass at first. Or I did at least. lol
