I was looking into this yesterday,  I'm arrowana do a similar thing, however I don't think they take from flight,  more of a sneak up and grab.
I should really sort this out!!

Yes, they do. I've kept all kinds of cichlids, and south american ones are particularly sneaky. You can tell by their upturned mouths and flat tops that they take food from the surface or above.

Have you seen the ridiculously priced arrowana imports. They micro chip em apparently.  I almost went that route instead of marines.
