Also where are the ballasts mounted on your headlights.....on the bottom, the back, inside/outside?
This could make all the difference, but looking at it it's either a 15 minutes job to remove the bumper which will be a PITA if on your own or I've just seen mentioned dropping it down a little on a forum, is it a facelift model as I'm not into Vauxhalls :tongue:

On the facelifted model, there's quite a lot less space, so you'll probably have to remove the headlamps. To get at the front headlamp screws you first have to remove the bumper (or slide it down a bit). Bumper removal is a 10-15 minute job... 3 screws on the front edge of each wheel arch, fixings where the bonnet meets the grill/bumper and also near the lower grill.
