Hello!
Been a while since I've been on; my 40L tank salty is still going fine.

I've got a holiday planned which should involve some snorkelling on reefs (not scuba diving). I'd like to get an underwater camera to record some of what I see.

Realistically I'm looking at spending a few hundred quid so it won't be too fancy, I guess. Has anyone got any recommendations?

Many thanks,
Paul

Thanks! I'm new to GoPros - any particular model I should be looking at?

Any of them will be ideal for what you want. Unless you want to record in 4K then you'll be looking at the HERO5 Session. The HERO Session would suit 90% of people's requirements. Jump on their website they have a comparison chart which is easy to follow.

Ahh just replied on TFF, hadn't seen you'd posted this on here as well.
I second the GoPro,  I've been using one for mountain biking and they're fantastic.  Good tough bit of kit!

40L looks a bit messy at the mo, though everything is still alive. I'll post a pic in a week or two - I'm away from home a lot at the mo.

Is there any control on the GoPro Session other than record? So you need to link it to the phone to do anything else like zoom (if indeed it can zoom?)

Mine doesn't have a zoom AFAIK, it is what it is, if you get what I mean.  Just press go and it does its thing.

Still use my Hero 3 and a cheaper 4k action cam ( uses same mounts which is handy! )

Session is a good one, smaller than the hero and IIRC relatively cheap!

Thanks:
