Seems he was lucky. Why not let him ride though? Surely he's had his nugget of bad luck for the year? :lipsrsealed:
I never stop him riding , I havent got the right .But this was agreed between us both that it would be more sensible not to ride it in the early morning when when Deer and Birds are more of a hazard. Birds sit on the tarmac to warm up then fly away too late and too dozy , plus this was on a corner, or more acuratly round a bend.
To say he had his share of bad luck is tempting fate , you can have 3 spills in as many months and none for years .
We had a dog run out in front of us from a hedge as we were gong round a bend , it went for the front wheel and the next thing i remember I was lying in the middle of the road and the bike a bit further on , with Garry walking towards me , ME note not the bike , which is quite something . My ribs hurt like hell , my shoulder and an ankle , worst thing was it ripped off one of the rear pegs so I had to ride home balanced on the stub that was left , dog dissapeared totaly....
I had to look at my injurys from the funny side as it was almost impossible to get my knickers up or down  :undecided:

I couldnt get my arm above my shoulder for several months , Garry was fine however , but he says i went sailing over the top of him

and got punched into the road , I know i landed on my front because I had a mobile phone shaped bruise on my ribs but i woke up on my back :undecided:
Longest ride home ive ever had

...
Nope as a biker you learn Mike never to tempt fate  The Gods will only hand out so much luck
