Absolutely stunning that's my kind of house on that island all on its own.

Totally different to Norwich here being a city would love to live somewhere like that.

Thanks:

The house on the island is away in the hills between drumnadrochit and invermorriston at Loch Ma stac , it has been deralict for a long time , it is 8 miles across country no real roads or tracks to it , I went up with a friend in his monster truck toyota surf he had at the time , we had went up for a spot of fishing till he managed to drop a wheel into deep peat just behind where I took the pic , and we spent the whole time jacking up adding boulders to the hole to free it as there was nothing to attach the winches to and the ground was too soft for the land anchor he had .which was quite ironic really considering what we had already drive across . If you google maps loch ma stac you can actually see the island with the house .

Absolutly stunning, its deff not like the south, but didnt Henry Vll the geezer with all the wives deforest a lot of it to build his bloody navy?

In the desolate places there is a stark magnificence, the way the mist or clouds or whatever roil and settle in the high peaks after rain...

It sets you to wonder what would have happened if Stanley,Margaret Beauforts bloke hadnt chosen a different side at Bosworth . No Tudors, but Im sure the rest would have managed to wreck some where else. I thibk its Cumbria? Where some c word arsehole salted the land which is why its so barren..

Thanks for shareing Gav .

Thanks:

Yeah the scenery can get quite Barron in places up north around wick and thurso there are next to no trees at all , the weather can make for some really dramatic back drops . I'll add more at a later date

Not quite the big sky we get here, hardly any hills till you get to the wolds ,very few trees. Lots of Eurofighters ,Spits and the Lanc . Locals shambling around high sixing each other  :|  and everywhere you look theres a very ominous piece of farm equipment, lurking, waiting, just let your guard drop ,turn yer back on that Spirit ,Agrifac ,whatever and its booms will wrap around you,you got 3 litres of neat Roundup pumped thru yer veins and before you know it your IQ drops to 50 and yer knuckles start draggin on the floor... :O
