Moving house (again) maybe.

I am considering moving house (again!) but one thing I would not be looking forward to is moving the fish tank.
Also, I would need to get the house rewired and the kitchen in before we could move in properly.
Do you think it would be feasible to somehow maintain an electrical supply to the attached garage whilst the rest of the house wiring is being replaced?
I have even considered breaking down the tank and re homing my stock just to avoid the hassle of trying to move it.
I'm pretty sure the new house, if we go ahead, is crying out for an under stairs aquarium build in the lounge!

That's the struggle I've got soon-ish, as we want to move, but the tank is the issue...

As for the garage, couldn't you run an extension from the spur so the main ring can be shut off?

Or isn't there a nice neighbour who wouldn't mind running an extension out of their house to yours for your "fish tank pump"...  :P

Perfect excuse for an upgrade anyway.
The Mrs gets a bigger house, I get a bigger tank!  ;)

Yeah, my tank has to go... Not only as it's not worth the huge effort during house move day which is already stressful enough (our tank is upstairs btw, 3 story house, making it far harder), but when we do move and I get another tank, I want to go in a completely different direction, with a 3 ft cube ULNS packed with SPS. I've done everything else, and SPS has always been an afterthought, but maybe that's why I've always had limited success, so by putting SPS first, it should be very different.

I know they're not like cats or dogs, but don't you get quite attached to your fish?  The husband suggested re-homing our angry crab in favour of getting a coral garden and I was totally against the idea!  :)
