This is remarkably, eerily beautiful... Marble quarrying.
It's like watching an orchestral conductor, everyone thinks he's a formality, and is redundant, it's only those in the know who appreciate his worth. In this video, it seems he could be done without, but obviously not, as he's there. He's orchestrating those huge machines in perfect unison to bring down huge, perfect blocks of Marble, without who would clearly bring down smaller, less value blocks of snapped, smashed marble...
It's the same fascination as watching someone doing sign-language, or those guys who wave at jet planes.
