Asterina are small starfish usually less than an inch in size.
Colours are typically light grey, but some times light brown.
The number and size of legs are not always the same, this is due to the way they reproduce, in a way of fragmentation.
Some say they are known to eat zoas, button polyps, GSP and SPS.
A known predator of asterina starfish are the harlequin shrimp.
