got to be in the salt then.

I changed salt and still got the same problem. Was using Fluval now using RedSea blue.   Thought it might be the cheap powerhead I had as a mixer, so I swapped that for an rw4 I had spare. New heater in there too. 

Totally lost now tbh

Slide it over to the middle and see how it looks, you might find the horse shoe shape becomes a crap trap

Cheers everyone. The rock on the right is very close to to the glass @Asco1104 that actually was the piece i was thinking of relocating to the sump and putting some of the smaller pieces I have in the sump in its place. I was thinking the smaller pieces would be good for placing frags on to keep them separate from the main scape?

If it's just rock, do a 100% water change and get it done in one go.  Anything else will dilute what's in there, then dilute it again, etc. 100% rids you of it in one go.
