Hello all

I dont know if I am being dim here or what but I have an issue with my vectra. In the past like everyone else I used to run my return pumps at a constant speed , I would set the flow to the sump and it would run near silent.

So now I have the vectra I wanted to drop the flow rate during the night, trouble is when i do the water is oviously dropping in the weir and gurgling, the same when i ramp the vectra up and it the goes down the overflow pipe.

I am now just running it at a constant speed, the only time it makes any real noise is when i go into feed mode.

Has anyone else have the problem, do you just run at a constant speed or do you do something different?

Cheers

Hai

Why would you want to drop the flow rate in the sump at night mate?

When I set up the reeflink it was preset to different speed through the 24 hour cycle. I thought it might be good for the main tank to have less turnover during the night. No real problem keeping it constant  ;)

The option to increase and decrease the speed is for if you use the pump as a closed loop pump.

My advice is just set it at a constant speed and forget about the feed mode unless you have a switch that will switch the skimmer of otherwise it will over flow.
