I'm new to marines (about 18-months) and has just upgraded to a 340-litres tank with sump and all the kit (reactors, skimmer etc).

I need a wavemaker and am a bit overwhelmed with the options. Any help would be much appreciated.

The tank is 3ft x 2ft x 2ft and I'm already keeping soft corals successfully. I'm looking for something quiet and programmable that will give enough flow to eliminate dead spots whilst not being too excessive for LPS.

Any thoughts on a budget of around £100-120?

Thanks

Hi @Simon4938 Welcome to ReefBase.

You'll probably want 20-40x flow I guess for softies/LPS so that's about 10,000 LPH total.

You could get two Jebao SOW-8 from FishStreet for £140.  They're quiet and fairly reliable as long as you clean them with citric acid (not vinegar). You can pair them wirelessly to do back and forth flow etc.

Quiet, powerful , reliable, and not to expensive .
I've got 180 l juwel marine tank setup and I got a Tunze 6015 ,
I've found this powerful enough for my tank , what you don't want is to get one that blows everything away , mine isn't Bluetooth or wireless or comes with a gadget box you connect up to.
Just straight forward turn it on and off it goes , sometimes it's the simple things that turn out best ,

It cost around £30-£35 ,if you don't like it you haven't spent loads of money out on it .
