Anyone have any thoughts on the Maxspect gyre?

Thinking of getting one for the new tank as Im enjoying the clean look of it with the ocean life overflow and think the power heads are ruining the look a little.

I'm getting a lot of surface "oil" that I think maxspect will totally eradicate. Which would be nice. I think it will eradicate dead spots too.

They are pricey (In my eyes) so just wondered if anyone had any thoughts.

I will be able to resell my tunze and jebao wp 25 to recoupe some cash, so thats something to consider.

You could just buy a small PH or 2 depending on the tank size and point it at the surface .

I know exactly what you're saying Mike....but I've read quite a lot of people posting that the outer coating of the wire has cracked and split, which to me means cheap products used for maximum profits!

I watched a vid onn YouTube  on the gyre , looks like good water movement to me , on yhe downside it sounded a little noisy when it was run at higher power,  thw idea of one unit to take care of all water movement is attractive in my eyes

So when this one thing goes wrong...............its just a paranoid take on it that with multiple PH`s you got at least some water movement  if one goes wrong ?

I'd still have movement from the return, but yeah, putting 90% of your water movement into one products hand is a risk.

I'd hope for the money it would be reliable though.
