I've got the smaller 130 model and I love it. So do my corals. I only run it at about half power; it's effectively silent.

If you're considering second-hand, watch out that there were some teething problems with the early models of the 150 but the current ones are great.

There is also a cheaper clone by Jebao.

I have the Jecod one.  Works great for me.  I asked around before buying and found a guy that had both, and said they were pretty much the same as far as he could tell.

I've not looked for recent info on them, so interesting that there are problems - not seen any yet.  I had real trouble getting a refund from fishstreet after placing an order from the 'UK warehouse', which I then cancelled.  They told me it was already dispatched, but when I checked the parcel info online, it said it was in a depo in Germany!  They tried to charge me something like £15 for delivery, when it was advertised (and on the email confirmation as £3).  In the end they lost, as I disputed it through PayPal, who returned my money in full.

Fishstreet are cheap, but the service is terrible.  It's a risk.  You can find shops selling Jecod stuff now, so might be worth going that route instead.

Thanks:

Carol

Are there any update or news on these bits of equipment? Some time agoI did a bit of research and seem to remember whether its jaebao or maxspect there are issues.

My main worry was they would just fit width wise with my big weir and cut off corners, also have massive wide braces where stuff used to fir thru .

Seen maxspect at over 300.00 I still smart from my Tunze wavebox and Streams of which I had 6 along with controllers ,they only just lasted out the warranty time. This is why I now run cheap shit.

Dunno about news Carol, I read quite a bit yesterday and looked at the review of the Maxspect like the idea, I have bought the Rossmont power head system was going to install it in the tank I have now but have decided to hold on until I set up the next tank. May have a deal on a second hand aqua Oak.

I understand the principle but like you I am suspicious of warranties. They charge a lot of money and the things don't go past the warranty by much.
They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

Thanks:
