Does anyone know please is the impellor on the wp40 fixed or free ? eg it  turns  on the shaft?

No it doesn't turn on the shaft Carol as it's all one piece!

Right good  thanks Carl, this am one wasnt working  , so Garry took it out and cleaned it by soaking the impellor in vinegar, its back and working  , was a bit cruddy , he just wasnt sure as he said if it wasnt a whole unit  it would wear its bearings out if he hadnt free`d it up properly   :grin:

Well 2 weeks later and its jammed solid , its soaking in vinegar  , Garry had to get the pliars on the bugger, its the top bearing  near the impellor fins  . Last time he couldnt realy see anything wrong just  soaked it  and refitted it .. I do hope they arnt going to be a problem  as they were such good value. You guys dont seem to have any issues .


The one giving me grief is on a wave action  on/off...

I can't see how the top bearing could be at fault unless it's out of alignment some how, but they sit in a silicone rubber bush. It's not getting fine particles in it that's causing the stoppage....if so the tolerances on the shaft and bearing must be way out.

Well I dont kalk any more , mainly because of the  issue with PH`s  tho I do add Calcium and Mag  and Bi-Carb but so does everybody   :undecided:

Yes he did have his finger crossed at the time , ive broken more than one ceramic shaft , hence I let him do stuff as hes not as  inept as me...

Well its back in the tank and working again .... :grin:  Its reminded me why I keep Garry as a pet  :wink:
