Well I don't know where to start with a detailed tank thread and things are pretty hectic at the moment so I figured I will just post a few pictures of various stages of the project the first photo being the most recent FTS:

Then the tank turned up.

Then I got the doors and panels from a kitchen supplier

I must say what a lovely job. Sump looks nice, all neat and tidy (Iconica would approve I'm sure). I'm glad you didn't do what I see some people do and leave just the steel frame without the doors. the kitchen doors really finish the look off. Will be nice to see this in 12 months time... Ash

Latest FTS.
As you can see I'm taking it slowly! Having battled constantly with GHA on one of my Riff System structures I delayed stocking up on corals until I could get to grips with the algae. I didn't see the point in spending money on corals when the tank looked cr@p!
I am happy that I am back on top of it now having employed a Sea Hare who is now about 3 times bigger in 2 months!

I also removed one of the 'shelves' from the right hand structure as it was seemingly blocking out too much light at this side of the tank.

Yes at last! The last of the GHA has cleared up. Just need to find a home for the now hungry Sea Hare.
I doubled the amount of Rowaphos also so I think this will have contributed.

I'm not sure whether to start stocking up on LPS or to go down the route of softies.
If I choose to do the latter I would imagine I would need to crank down power heads so not sure if I could do a mixture of both??
