Could be growth or a problem, my seriatopora does have white tips.

Is this lost flesh ?

Anyway that's a tough old coral, I've had it come back from being almost completely dead so it'll probably be alright

Just has a look with a spotlight, no its just shading due to the angle the piece is on, also lights had just come on. Polyps are intact and extended

Couple of quick questions :D

1. Bio Media Spheres/Cubes. Can I crush this to reduce the size and increase the amount that I can fit into a bag? Obviously i'll need to adjust up or down accordingly with my parameters.

2. GSP. Is sand a barrier to this coral? As in it cannot grow over a sand bed?

I have really good Polyp Extension on the Stylopora even with lights off it looks incredibly fluffy this pleases me immensely, I'll admit I wasn't a fan of these corals (sticks) but this one is growing on me. The end "nub" that was white originally seems to be getting whiter?

Now my Montipora has stopped Polyp Extension completely, I have been thinking about moving this coral. Maybe move it higher into better/stronger light? Fairly sure that the flow is good on this piece (same height and flow as Stylo). However it does seem to be encrusting the rock fairly rapidly. Seems like the only area's of new growth show any PE

I realise that I need to obtain some more test kits (I have Ordered the Red Sea Reed Foundation Pro test Kit which is arriving Monday) so cannot currently test for anything other than Phosphates 0.03 and Nitrates 20. Is this too high for SPS? If so will lowering it mess with my LPS?

No PE again on the Montipora again today, Styropora still doing great? No ideas whats happening here.

In other news. This is what happens to my Wrasse at bed time.
Finally I have an issue with my Clownfish, is there anyway that I can "help" her to host a coral? She's currently using a barnacle and is getting pasted on a daily basis by my Tailspot Blenny

Splitting up the Barnacles clusters has definitely helped with the aggression, the trio are again swimming in unison.
Also who is lurking in the darkness? - My answer to a Puffer lol

He is an Bristletail Filefish (youll see sold as Aiptasia eating filefish). I wanted a puffer and these are relatively similar swimmers and characters and slightly more reef safe.

When he is interested the spike at the top and bottom of the fish spread out and he makes himself look big. That's already put off my aggressive Blenny. The filefish was inspecting the barnacle and the blenny rushed him. Then stopped dead when he displayed and retreated to his hole

Thanks:

Looks like the blenny has decided this is mine and mine only ,territory claiming ,this sort of behaviour isn't going to stop overnight,if things get to bad think you should rehome the blenny to another tank for a little while mate,
