It's a syphon break to stop it back-syphoning the tank into the ato res.

From memory it should be above the water line in the ato res but do check the docs as its a while since i set mine up.

Cheers, you were spot on (non return). I decided that it wasnt required as I dont quite have enough length to get the ATO pipe submerged in my back chamber due to how it is set out.

Tested by siphoning out and reintroducing 5g from the main display

Mate that pics making me nervous!  Are you sure there's no way the end of the hose could end up under the water? (or that the level could rise if the return pump outlet gets blocked?)

I agree does not look great, functionality not impaired as water level did not drop over weekend. Used approx half the reservoir. Will look into a temporary lid today

They all rotate, just depends how much when the current hits them,
Bit of adjustment will make the rotation a bit more but don't want to much just want enough ,

Well, I have an interesting problem. I get sent the wrong fish. Paid for a White Banded Possum Wrasse for pre 1pm Delivery today.

That looks like a Leopard Wrasse to me!

They're sending me the correct fish when it is in stock. (White Banded Possum Wrasse), they have said to keep this one as the error is on their part. Which is nice I guess but alters my stocking plans.
I think i'll keep it, for a while at least
