Splashing the cash :)

There is an ulterior motive also.
My eBay Mp10 is quite noisy. Going to have a crack at replacing the bearings.

I wanted a completely sound replacement in place in case something goes wrong.

Maybe it was someone on another forum then - they said evolution had a list of skimmers that worked in their pump as it was too shallow for some. Anyway, will see it on Sunday

Most skimmers like 7-9" so the EA should be fine for most common choices.

More flow

Looking forward to linking this to the other MP10. Should get some interesting flow going.

The new quiet drive mp10 is absolutely silent. Have it running almost max in Reef crest mode and can hardly hear it.

Dismantling the old one to change bearings didn't go to plan, it was very difficult to get the housing apart and I got a bit cross.

I've ordered the Quite Drive upgrade controller and a new quiet drive dryside. Excited to have 2 quiet, linked powerheads

Had a nightmare getting the Quiet drive dryside. There are literally none in the country for 2-3 weeks.

One supplier let me down, got a refund, then checked with another who said they had one.
Cue a phonecall saying they don't have one either. Thought I'd enquired about a wetside! Grr!

They then phoned back saying that they had chatted to the distributor who managed to release one especially for me  so good customer service in the end from H20 aquatics.

Roll on Thursday.

I mainly use H20 and Marine Aquatics when my LFS can't supply something.

Both fall foul to the same issue now and again though, and this isn't just limited to the Aquatics industry, but it really gets my back up nonetheless.

Listing something as "in stock" on your website when you don't physically have the item.
I pay for something, then get a call saying "oh actually we don't have any of them" so you ask for a refund and that takes 3-5 days through PayPal. Very frustrating.

It annoys me so much that I've actually delayed the launch of my own business website for 9 months while we ensure that we have a robust stock system that makes selling a product we don't actually have impossible. Hard work, but I don't want to inflict the same fate on my own customers.

Rant over :)

Marine Aquatics are awesome, a small family run business from there home. If you are local, take a trip to see them! There coral tanks are the best i have seen in the midlands ( West and East! ) good prices too.
