I always test ph mid morning to get a true reading.
I didnt realize nopox messed with oxygen, i was under the impression it was biological additive that increased the bacteria to combat the N03.. ill pick up a test asap as i plan to continue the nopox for 30 days then slowly ramp back down to a control dose.
Ill do a full retest when my oxygen one turns up and see whats going from there. Thanks mate : )

If you google "nopox and oxygen"

You will see how it depletes it dropping the oxygen and PH as well so that may well be your cause I personally could not get on with Nopox so stopped using it.

I've noticed the same with nopox, so half dosing it along with some Phosguard, has the PH stable at 8.2/8.3.

Thanks:

The highs and lows of reefing...
Ive been looking out a long time for a nice tuxedo urchin, pleased to find one on saturday i slowly acclimated it and gently encouraged it into the tank making sure i didnt damage it.
Brilliant thing fun to watch : ) what wasn't fun... finding it being eaten by my condy!! Not for a minute did i think the condy was silly enough to try and eat such a spiky meal, so i managed to annoy the condy enough into letting it go 24hrs later and both are still alive. Urchins dropped a fair few spikes but is still travelling about and the condy altho looking abit swollen and pouty is still ok? Fingers crossed!

Both still ok : ) the urchin has been near the anemone yesterday and it clearly recoiled.. so for a brainless animal it seems to have learned its lesson. Hopefully?

You can't test salt water with it, only RO.  You expect to find 0TDS in pure water, but not once you've mixed a load of salt in.
