Great update,  you're right about the clowns on that frogspawn, my one did that to my hammer coral.  After a while the coral seemed to tolerate the clown completely and growth was great!

The Prime looks great over that tank 👍 I bet with the new light and extra nitrate your corals really take off now.  You'll be getting a doser on there next!  lol

Thanks Andy : )
Nice! I really hope does host them!
They’re hanging around it a lot more brushing up against it and don’t seem to get stung by it now so looking good.
That’ll be nice, I’ve been getting some great growth on my LPS and SPS, the LPS especially puff up so nicely and look great but my Zoas seem to grow a few, then drop a couple so would love to see them really take off.
Lol I have had a quick look into dosers but holding off for now, famous last words lol .

ScapeEasy,
Cheers buddy!
Yeah very happy with how the Scape turned out.
I made it out of the Tank on the side in my kitchen and thought it was going to take ages to make something I liked but surprisingly was only the second scape I tried and just knew right away....that’s the one! If only everything happened that easily : )

Thanks MarineKing,
I think I got the rock from Charterhouse Aquatics but you can get them quite a few places, they’re the Carabsea Life rock. It’s a dry rock coated in a dormant bacteria to help with cycle and also coated with a purple colour which looks pretty nice I think but comes away a little over time. I brought the shapes variety and it really fits together nicely, haven’t had to stick it together in a any way.

Just got this little beauty delivered this morning, my first Torch Coral.
Paid for 1 head but it looks like it’s recently split as I can see it pinching in the middle and see 2 mouths so result : )
I’ve taken it off the plug, dipped in RX and it’s now fully open in the QT so all in all a good day.
I also realised the Nicrew Timer fitted my QT light a couple of days ago so I’ve got it on there now as I run the QT full time so nice to have both Tanks automated.

You can just make out the Daisy Polyps on the top of the rock which were a bit shabby when I got them but doing better now.

Nice! Making me realise I need to research coral acclimation soon lol - does the Nicrew timer for the Fluvals evos light?

ScapeEasy,
Oh nice, great when you get your first Corals in! What you thinking of going with first?
I drip acclimated my Fish and all inverts but never actually acclimate the Coral, I’ve read a lot of people don’t and so far I’ve had no problems touch wood.
I float them for about 15 minutes to get to temp, dip in Coral RX mixed with Tank water, rinse with more Tank water then into QT and apart from my first GSP all have opened within about an hour.
Yeah the timer works for Fluval light but it doesn’t change them from blue to white. The light on my QT has a switch though instead of the sensor so the Timer works better on there as it goes off blue and comes on blue in the morning.

Update 18/2/2021.
The torch is doing great, opened up over twice as long today and looks awesome in the flow! Kind of mesmerising.
Just can’t wait to get it over to the DT now.

Couple of pics under the white light....

@Esoteric im not sure yet! Here is my working list:
- [ ] Frogspawn coral
- [ ] Torch coral
- [ ] Xenia (pulsing)
- [ ] Finger leather coral
- [ ] Grubes gorgonian
- [ ] Green star polyp

So I’m probably going to go for Xenia or finger leather first.

The dip seems to be the key from what I understand so far (just as you do)

Sounds good : )
I still want some Pulsing Xenia for my Tank, a lot of people don’t like it coz of how invasive it can be but it just looks to cool not to get some!

Agreed!! Though having seen GSP in the flesh, it’s now off the list! It’s another invasive one and to my eyes it looks a bit messy - almost like algae - due to its small size.
