Its an absolute beast, added the smallest feeder shrimp i could find (same size maybe slightly larger than the mantis shrimp itself) didnt even have time to press record on my phone for the video before twack, twack dead feeder shrimp and dragged into the lair in the main rock. This thing is f######g awesome

Yeah they're shy, curious and cautious. Very cute. Lots of personality. You'll find it looking dead, it's just it's exoskeleton it moults as it grows. It'll disappear for a few days while the new bigger exoskeleton hardens.

@Mike how do they cope with changes in the tank, mainly thinking about taking out the large rock once she has finished first moult as i'm not 100% which of the large ones its actually in as barricades on both  :o

Going to keep that one there and have added some smaller "islands" to the scape, including Mantis larder

Thanks, looking to start adding a few softies to the tank shortly. She has moulted (last 2 weeks) so its nice to see some movement in the tank again, hopefully can pick up some mega cheap softies and let them take over

Got some very invasive macro algae to add to the tank, ordered from platedreef.co.uk as livealgae are having serious health issues with their staff members

Got Red Hair Algae (Chondria Sp), and Green Bush Algae (Cladophora Prolifera) nice sized clumps at £5.99 each with free postage

My god that sand looks nice and clean!

What's the tiny one in the first pic that looks a bit like a hammer?
