Looks good, have you factored in the height of the water sits in and space in the sump for when you turn the return pump of for the water to drain back into the sump from dt?
Do you really need that overflow in the pump chamber?will you have it going outside?
If you have socks why the floss trap? That will get dirty down the bottom and because it’s so thin be a pita to clean.
You might find the last 2 drops to high and make a splashing noise.
Sorry to be critical and you can tell me to do one

Tim

Hi mate,

All suggestions are welcome mate :)

I have not calculated the water going back to the sump when the return pump is turned off. I think I will leave that to the sump installation then will adjust the overflow's top accordingly.
Yes, the overflow is connected to a pipe going towards the drain but about 4" off the ground outside the house.

The bio media requires really clean water. I have found with filter socks, very small particles would still get through and that is why I have another layer of filter wool/floss.

The last 2 drops can make the splashing noise but I think it's not as bad as the skimmer's noise.
Hopefully, this will eliminate the need to skim the surface and there is no stagnant water in the sump.

That’s a special return pump! Is it programmable?

I would need to get a controller for it ... my LFS told me that I won’t be able to connect to Apex though ... :(

Sump will be installed in a few weeks, I need to sort out the electrical stuff first. Will install an electrical box above the display tank for safety ...

Looks like you can use reeflink to control it via the app. If you are getting echotech powerheads and lights the reeflink will allow you to control all of them wirelessly anywhere you have a broadband connection.

Definitely worth It Hai I have all ecotech stuff now I have slowly been buying one by one and until I got a reef link it was a real pain in the ass. But the vectra return pump is virtually silent mate and an absolute beast once connected to the reef link
