I've also noticed in the last few days especially that my chromis are pecking off ? Off of the side of the tangs , who are quite happy to stop and allow this , they also seem to be eating from the water column but I can't see what they are taking , any thoughts ?
Interesting. Never heard of them acting like cleaners before. Stuff in the water column could be anything. Spawning corals/fish/snails, shrimp babies, etc. I would have thought ich would be too small in it's free swimming stage.
Unfortunately the clown Tang never made it , it didn't die directly from the WS , but a secondary infection , it looks like the result of an internal bacterial infection , red abdomen and shrunken withdrawn looking face , what amazes me is the sheer speed that it went down hill , it looked a little rough but was feeding well only 12 hours earlier . 😞 . Losses so far are the recent 3 lyre tail anthias , which I suspect were probably the carrier's , orange striped goby and the clown Tang . 😞 .Other wise everything that's left appears to be improving . The reappearance of spots is getting continually fewer , now on day 11 of treatment .
