Hi, is that a variable return outlet in the top of the tank, if so what's your opinion, how much and where from?
I replaced the original outlet nozzle with a flexible one (duck bill shape) so I could spread the flow more. I think it reduces the flow a little, but seems to work for me. It wasn’t a snug fit and had to use a fair bit of ptfe tape to make it fit. Think I bought it on a different forum (ultimate reef) from Reefloat.

No they're ecotech radion xr15 pro g5. 😁

I like the look of the red sea lights but I try to avoid buying Gen 1 products!

Good looking Tank mate.
I think the rock’s given it a nice clean and unique look, will look great when it’s covered in SPS though!

Thanks:

Cheers @Esoteric I hope so!

I'm still struggling with the misty water TBH... wondering whether to drain and refill with new RO/DI?  Or should I just put the salt in, let it cycle and hope that having the skimmer on pulls out whatever it is. Argh.  I just don't want to put £50 of salt in only to the drain it out when it still looks misty! 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’d put the salt in, the dust should filter out over the next couple of days I reckon. I used live sand in mine and didn’t rinse for obvious reasons and it soon cleared up.

Would it help to run filter floss if the water is still misty?

You would think so!  I've got loads stuffed in my reactor and it's not doing a thing. Think I might just put the salt in there.  Getting bored now!

Finally by some miracle it was clear this morning - shame I'm off on holiday tonight!  Assuming it hasn't leaked or anything while I'm away,  I should be good to get cracking in a week's time!  8D
