What are you planning on growing in fuge? I’ve opted for a cheap LED (30W) from eBay and chaeto and caulerpa seems to be growing fine.

Nice, do you have a link to it?

Bought one of these:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303617512545

I went for one that also had UV LED in addition to the red and blue, as i read that was good for growth. Seems to work fine for me, but don’t have comparison to kessil or tunze etc

Thanks, but 'cos i have to mount it really high up i think it would have the same problem as the one I've got - the light spreads out too much.  I might just try and find a narrower lens I could bodge into my existing light (currently got a 60 deg lens in it).

That's why i was looking at that tunze one,  you can mount it right in the water, so no light spill problems  8D

I converted my ATO into a fuge and can have the LEDs quite close to the water as the ATO sits quite high. The goosenecks help a little, but are a but fiddly. But hey can’t complain for that price

Yeah I may end up doing that,  the fuge in the sump is a bit on the small side really.

Have you got a tank thread going?  Wouldn't mind seeing some pics of your set up.

Should really get one up. Started one earlier with previous sumpless tank, but didn’t persist. No excuse, i know...

Finally got a creature in there,  my vicious clownfish from my nano  8D

Also I bought a lawnmower blenny, he's chilling in my quarantine tank at the moment.  Little bit shy at the moment,  I think i need something he can hide in ...

I'm cycling the display using ATM Colony and the QT with NT Labs Marine Live Filter Bacteria,  no ammonia showing in either tank so far  8D

The algae blenny is still being a bit shy and not eating.
I've put in a load of different foods and some hair algae from my old nano and it's just not interested.  It's just hiding away under the Siporax.  I've now put a plant pot in so it's got somewhere to hide.  Wonder if i need to put in some better hiding places to make it feel more chilled...maybe some pvc pipes or something...?

The nano's going really wrong, so I fragged three of my acros before they're gone. Currently sumped and will be going in the display when my fragrack arrives.

Also managed by some miracle to get my favourite Mr Shrimpington out 😍 unfortunately had a bit of a boo-boo trying to acclimate him from 39.9 ppt to 34.0ppt. so he ended up getting dropped into the tank without acclimation 😕 looks fine so far so hopefully he'll make it.

As to why the nano is 39.9 ppt in the first place 🤷🏻‍♂️ I was planning to move everything over but i'm kinda thinking i might just frag what i can and completely scrap it.

Haha, not sure Mrs 83 would go for that, I'm skating on wafer thin ice as it is!

Looking good Andy! Must be good to see some life in there.
Lid looks like it turned out well too, something I’m gonna have make when I upgrade my lights at some point.
