Yep  skimmer after a refugium if you have one but well away from the return chamber because of any possible micro bubbles getting into the tank .
Do not mock the snake because it has no horns. For who is to say that one day it may become a dragon,as one just man may become an army...Water Margin.

Tested pipe work, only one small leak found, that has been fixed now hopefully, tried out on of the razor led units and found the arms to long so light unit sat too high and alot of overspill on light so cut them down,  alot better now, photo only shows one light unit but will be running two.

Is that a 120W razor? Wouldn't a 160W one be more suitable? You could use just one and it'd be cheaper?

Yay! Have you left enough water out for displacement that will happen when you put your LR in.
I should really sort this out!!

Thanks:

:huh:well got home from work today expecting water to be up to temp so live sand could go in ...but was only on 21.9c checked heater it wasn't working this was connected to a stc1000 ,anyway have changed heater over and got water in sump to min water level(too allow for sand and rock) to get the water circulating.

What the hell is that valve? Looks like some kind of Durso contraption, but yours is twin standpipe? Is that on the top of the unrestricted pipe in the cabinet below? If so, there should be nothing at the top of it, should be open at the top, just below the height of the weir comb.

Can you do a diagram to show how the pipework currently is, as it's hard to see from the pic?
