That's a shame , they're lovely fish too , there's a few "reef safe with caution"s  I've fancied but I've not been prepared to take the risk with them . I suppose every fish is different .
Look forward to seeing your up and coming sps .
Was that the same plating Monti on the pic on previous page ?

Got a new salifert nitrate test kit today and nitrates are now barely detectable around 1 or 2 ppm can't believe this after struggling with them for so long . Still getting brown film on the glass so ordered some continuum balls for phos removal.

Thanks:

Nice one make sure you don't take it to 0 Nitrates that will be detrimental to your corals get it between 2 to 5ppm will be ideal :)

Yeah ok I think going sandless has definitely helped and this time I put all my biohome and siporax before the skimmer though the skimmer still pulls a lot out . I,m also growing cheato better as I changed my lamp to a mars aqua . My couple of sps frags that the emporer angel never nipped seem to be doing ok too so will add more frags soon

Thanks:

Hi done a nitrate test and last time was around 2ppm but now not getting a reading it's 0ppm . Can't test for phos as I need to get a new kit . I,m running siporax and biohome before skimmer then cheato in 2nd chamber with ulva testinalis seaweed plus miracle mud.  Can't believe this after struggling with high nitrates for ages any suggestions to raise it up a bit I feed about 4 times a day?????

Add red sea reef energy  A and B if you have corals and feed the fish some extra the fish will love it and the corals will love the extra fish poo to eat  ;)
