I noticed a couple of days ago a small dark circle on one of my Anthias like he had scraped himself on a rock - today he has what look like two large black holes!???  Tried googling it but just comes up with black holes in space!!  Any help please?  My others are fine and this one is still swimming / feeding ok and doesn't appear to be being bullied?

Odd.  I found this, and it just happens to be the same species!  I wonder if it's something they're susceptible, or more common in the area they come from?

Can you put it in QT and treat for fungus?

From Chuck's Addiction site:
Quote
MALACHITE GREEN - Seems to be a dangerous compound to use but has been shown to be effective against a variety of problems, most commonly as a treatment for Fungal infections.
DOSAGE: 1 teaspoon of a 0.038% solution per 10 gallons every other day for 10-14 days. Or 1 drop of .50% solution per gallon every other day for 10- 14 days. 25% water changes are recommended before each dose. Use half dose for scale-less and delicate fish such as Clown Loaches and Neon Tetras. Double dose for marine aquariums. Note; malachite green is more toxic at higher ph.

Thank you!  I will have a read through all that - it does look very similar.  Yes am getting the QT ready - Would you recommend putting them both in, even though the other one isn't showing any signs?
