Has anyone ever had a juvenile kole tang with "fingerprint disease"?  Or any other tang with this?
Does it just go on its own?  Is there anything that can be done?  Will the fish live ok with it?

I have heard of lateral line erosion but I do not know what this is?

It's a pale marking on the side of the fish with possible streaking on fins , from what I've read it appears there is no definite cause , but may be from trauma or bacterial infection but not scientifically proven but tends to burn itself out if fish kept in ideal conditions and fed well on a good varied diet .

Well I went and googled it, as I should have done initialy. Could there be a nutritional componant? I remember having a juvi Emperor angel and becoming very worried as when it began to change colour it became patchy but not in line with the colour change. As it changed this cleared up and I put it down to the stress and aditional nutritional needs during its colour change to adult.
