Aquarium Fish: Chloroquine: A "New" Drug for Treating Fish Diseases — Advanced Aquarist | Aquarist Magazine and Blog
Quote
Conclusion

While not a panacea or miracle drug, chloroquine is experiencing resurgence in popularity for use in fish-only aquariums and quarantine systems to treat a variety of problems ranging from Cryptocaryon to Aiptasia anemone infestations. Chloroquine remains active in aquariums for many weeks, seems to have low toxicity to fish and may be removed using activated carbon. In critical applications, treatment levels can be measured with a UV spectrophotometer, and the dose adjusted accordingly.

An interesting read, after seeing it mentioned by someone with white spot on facebook.

Thanks:

You just keep injecting them with Vinegar  I tried it as a piece of LR I had in my QT was hiding one that had a stem about 3/4" in girth. Zapped it with vinegar and it basically bubbled and disintegrated  8D

I've injected more than that into them,

Safe things to inject into Aiptasia Anemones & Majanos

It's not a case of what kills them, I'm out numbered at this point, there's literally hundreds.

I've been reading a lot more about this over the last couple of weeks.  It seems it is now THE recommended QT treatment by Bob Fenner/Wet Web Media for whitespot/ich, Velvet and Brook, and is considered likely to kill a lot of other parasites too.  I think I will be going with this and a dewormer in my QT routine.

Paludrine/Avloclor Antimalarial Travel Pack 112 Tablets | LloydsPharmacy
This is for 112 tablets, and will be £18.45 delivered

[EDIT]Oops!  I screwed up.  This is two types of tablets in one pack (I assumed it was just two names for the same drug).  It does have Avloclor tablets in it, but only a few.  It's mostly the Paludrine, which is not what you want.  You can buy just Avloclor though.  I found this:
Avloclor (chloroquine phosphate) 250mg

Also, it doesn't kill filtration bacteria, so you can throw in a bit of liverock to a QT and it won't kill the rock - instant filter too.

For the dewormer, that would kill the worms in the rock, but I will seed a sponge and do the deworming at the end (removing the liverock).

I might be buying some fish in the next couple of days  8D

It appears to be for the prevention of malaria. How would we calculate how much to use in a QT situation?
Thanks.

I found a good summary here:
Quarantine - KM Associates Intl
I've bought Sera Tremazol to worm the fish (instead of Prazi Pro or other US products that get mentioned a lot in other forums)

Avloclor is described as 155ml base Chloroquine per tablet. At 10mg/litre level, you should assume 1 tab per 15 litres.
