I have a 180litre tank at 100cm long. I’m looking for a new light, what do you recommend? I’ve heard the AI primes are good but I’m waning to know if one light would cover the whole tank as I’ve only got a budget of £400

Hi mate, no i don't think a prime will cut it for a 100cm tank.  For reference I have a Hydra 26HD (basically two primes stuck together) over a 60cm tank and it's about right.

The cheapest option I can think of for you would be a MarsAqua 300w (or two 165w).  T5 is another option but I can;t find anywhere selling a cheap luminair at the moment.

dsuny do a similar light with more controls (but I haven't tried that myself)
