Hi,  so after about a month of pulling my hair out trying to figure out what I can do for lighting my new tank on a budget while being able to grow some sps at some point I think I know what I am going to do. My tank is 6ft x 2.5ft not sure on the hight it's either 24 inches or 30.
The leds I'm looking at are VIPARSPECTRA Timer Control 165W LED Aquarium Light Dimmable Full Spectrum. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01FVI7NK0/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A19HZFHIZP6DI1&psc=1

I plan for 3 of these suplimented with maybe 4 54w t5's

I've heard good things about them for the price. Any Opinions?

Many thanks

Terry.

same as the mars aqua aren't they? if so, then they get good reviews for the price.

Kinda, it's the same chassis but different selection of LEDs.  I haven't seen them side by side with the Mars, but I'm told it's a better spectrum.

Are you going to mount them all from the ceiling?

Thanks for the replys. I might at the start or get some L brackets to hang them off but when I get the t5's I will more than likely build a hood for them.

It looks like my Evergrow IT2060 but mine were an early version which only have 2 channels of whites and blues.
