Hey all!

I am looking for a bit of advice and perhaps some guidance with regard to getting a decent lighting unit for my tank. It's only 160L but it is 100cm long. This would seem to be an issue for most entry level light units that I've seen Like the TMC v2 iluminair 600 and compact. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Chris

what are you keeping? Do you want LED only? would you want control over the lights or simple on/off?

I could recommend loads of lights, but without knowing what you are keeping, its a waste of time saying "this or that"

Well my goal is to have a small mixed reef. Only have four coral at the moment and a few fish. Coral are: Kenya tree, Xenia, green eye zoa, and star polyp

Don't really know what style, preferably something with a built in timer. Budget is around the £300 mark at verymost

evergrow are pretty popular lights, but for one to cover 100cm you are looking at just over £300

if you look at second hand lights, you can pick up some bargains like the maxspect razor, radion XR30's or Hydra 26/52's

if you like having smaller profile lighting that still does the job, Kessil a360's again, some second hand bargains are out there or Kelo AO 100s ( look like kessils, not as good but a lot cheaper! )

I use a pair of zetlight za1201 with a twin controller and t5's and grow softies, LPS and SPS. They have a new one called UFO which looks pretty good.

Thanks:
