Light Schedule

Hi guys and girls I just recently upgraded to a marsaqua 165w unit with seperate white and blue channels and I am looking for advice on the lightning schedule currently running 18 hours both then it goes to 6 hours blue only but after reading there should really be a total blackout period. Any advice be appreciated and there both on times

my lights come on low at 7am and go off at 9pm. hour ramp up and down either side. my lights at at there max set power between 10am and 5pm.

Your trying to emulate sunrise to sun set so 12hrs max lights on and 4-5hrs at peak.
On a new tank it's a good idea to have the lights on less so you don't get over run with algae, once your system balances out you can extend the light period.
