I've not. I've seen the evergrow units, but don't know of any relationship or comparison to the razors.

I'm kind of regretting the 10,000k razors now, wish I'd gotten the 16,000k.  :(

It was just summat I read on a face book group,  most of the users recommend them when someone asks, I think they're on the kcr web site, all the units star with the "i" prefix.

It's probably because they're cheaper. They look abysmal compared to the razors, are about 5 times thicker, have to be hung with cheese wire and have 3 big fans which are permanently on. I don't know what the double power cable thing is about either.

I know they do the same job, I've seen them over some really impressive tanks, but as an overall package, I don't think they're nearly as good.

I'm ordering the evergrow it2120 tomorrow one of the other mods on TSB (jamesfirth) has one above his. He's customised the led cofiguration to give a better spectrum for SPS and has quieter 12db fans.
This is James's tank

Iv had LEDs before and from my experience with the standard units ie, just blues & whites not all SPS grow under them. So it's a gamble but I'm hopeful that the broader range of LEDs do the job

They have different colour LEDs,  but because of this alot of people get algea blooms of all descriptions.

Yes you can customise the LEDs how you want them.

No idea on algae growth however if you have a high nutrition tank your going to get algae growth regardless

Agreed,  I was wondering if having different colour LEDs would affect algea growth?

I couldn't say but all the top led units use a different array of diodes and Iv not seen any bad experiences regarding algae growth.

My unit will arrive tomorrow:D

I remember you saying you prefer 16000k from previous forum.

I regret I sold my Razor. Now I can't afford another one.
I'm thinking about doing DIY job though.
