At the moment I'm having it's a toss up between a Maxspect 160 lor the Hisea A3 200w cree and bridgelux.  Price comparison is fairly large between. Does anyone have any experience of the Hisea? I hear SPS like montipora, Stylos and Acros do OK? Maxspect better light more money. Hisea does the same job less money. Obviously its personal taste. If I go the cheaper option then I'll might be upgrading in the future. Hisea has led screen on the side 4 channel fully programmable and a remote to play with. Maxspect has the better shimmer and par. Both would be second hand. I'm leaning  towards the Hisea to be fair as you can't always be sure of any problems the more expensive Maxspect might have.

Think I'd agree with you and go with the hilsea .
Yeah might not be as good as the other one on paper but sometimes the cheaper versions can be just as adequate.
I agree also its preference .
You can always change it at a later date if you're not happy with the results, or start a piggy bank fund with loose change towards getting a better light later if you want,
I'm not up on lighting so I can't really make a comment apart from what I think .
Good luck with deciding and I'm sure there's someone on here that has got more to offer you in advice

Thanks for the input, yeah so many choices out there I was at one point seriously looking a pair of AI prime HD but very pricey. All comes down to coverage, par, and if you just like the look of  the effects on the tank. I like the idea of an app to play about with them. I won't go back to Ecotech, just too much mucking about with the reef link. So we'll see 👍
