Hello Ladies & Gents at Reef Base,
I have recently built a new tank & would hope to have something living in it before Christmas, thought it might be an idea to join a forum to see how you guys are doing it.

looking forward to continue learning ropes.

thanks Mightyhatter,
good to know your a friendly bunch !

first likely question from me to the community would be who are the most reliable livestock retailers from a health / quarantined point of view

I live about 10 miles outside Bedford town, where did you grow up ?

Would that be mail order for corals etc? Seems people like Fishmans frags have disappeared? Mail order corals are still going . There was a great place whose name I cant recall that did amazing mail order corals ,pretty useless statement that as hard as I try cant remember the name.
I live in Lincs and its pretty dire for fish. The odd Maidenhead which of course are just a franchise and vary.

I grew up in Flitwick (still have family there) and went to school in Bedford.

From a mail order point of view I have used Zoa Marines and JBS

ideally id like to find a couple of good outlets where I can visit  & view the stock, not sure about mail-order live animals,
still a few months away from adding any livestock so time to find a good retailer.
if you do remember the name id appreciate it.

Hi @Dr,s welcome to ReefBase

Small tip on using the forum - when you're replying to a quote,  type your message outside the (quote) (/quote) bit and your reply will appear under the box instead of inside it! Not a criticism, just makes it a bit easier for people to see what your reply is.🙂

Apologies, should have been clearer. No I wouldnt reccomend doing anything other than  visiting a LFS for fish. Snails shrimp etc are fine carriaged overnight.
