Hi all

I’m from Northern Ireland and completely new to Marine aquarium and plan to obtain as much information as possible before setting up  a basic 100 litre saltwater aquarium using the Aquanano 60/100. I hope to keep a pair of clowns and a royal gramma and not to sure what else.

Hi mate, welcome.

That looks like a good choice for a tank with the rear sump built in 👍

Are you planning on getting a nem for the clowns?

Thanks. It’s a visually appealing tank and I will add a skimmer to the back compartment and also a wave maker for the tank. I have little to no knowledge as yet regarding corals but yes eventually would love some but know I need to upgrade the light.

Initially plan is to set up aquarium with live sand and dry rock, bottle of beneficial bacteria. Let it cycle then add a pair of clowns and continue to leave to cycle a month or more then add some clean up crew shirmp and maybe two snails then start to think about other fish and coral and which light I need to buy when I’m more knowledgeable and able to maintain everything within the required parameters.

It’s a big learning curve but one I’m enjoying and I know my kids will love the bigger tank and a pair of clowns

Thanks:

Sounds like a good plan, get some pics up when you set it up. 👍
