Hi all, just a quick hello before I head off to work as I decided to register with RB this morning.

Been into reefing for over 15 years now, though the majority of those years have been dry rather than wet.

Setting up a new system, nice and gradually, why rush when there's always more to learn, studying is fun right  :geek:

Anyway, I am based near Bolsover which is close to Chesterfield in Derbyshire so also interested in connecting with any local reefers or fishy folk in my area.

So yes, hello everyone and feel free to say hi and show me the ropes around this place

Just taking a quick but well sanitised break from my Royal Mail duties out here in the Derbyshire sun to grab some peanuts (love peanuts  :tongue-love: ) , so though I'd say a quick thanks for the lovely welcomes.

Hi @Legion  welcome to ReefBase

Have you got the tank yet or still deciding?

I do already have the tank ajm, had it for a while but it's only been used as an emergency holding tank for a friends pond fish over winter a few years back now, it's a very basic build 72 x 30 x 24 inch.

More to follow, must crack on, the parcels refuse to deliver themselves and someone might be waiting for their new skimmer  8D

Btw what's the protocol here, is this section just for a quick hello? Do I now start a build/info thread or carry on here?

Bye for now

Good sized tank!

Probably best to start one in Members Tanks so people can find it.
You can then paste the link in your profile and you'll get a Tank Thread link under your name like Ratvan has 👍🏻

lol Yeah but there are soooo many of them Ratvan  8D

Just been reading through a couple, in the meantime, it's all work and sleep at minute, couple of days off after today so will try and follow on a few more threads. Not that I haven't got loads to do when I'm not at work anyway   :|   Home has been referred to as "a project" for longer than I've been into reefs  lol

I will try start my own slow build thread this weekend, at least get some outline of what I'm trying to achieve and pics up  8D

Thanks:
