So this pretty thin red mushroom like coral has suddenly appeared....I’ve had this tank for nearly 2 years now and in the last couple of weeks it pops up from nowhere, my question is any ideas what it’s called as thinner than all other mushroom corals I have, is it some kind of Algae, any input greatly received. Thank you.

That's really pretty, puts me in mind of Red Lettuce Macroalgae (think Red Ulva) I know it's most probably not. Does it have an oral disc at all? Looks a bit like a "ultra" Discosoma like as @Animal says above.

no idea what that is,  but looks too ragged around the edges for it to be a mushroom

Looks like a macro algae. Is it still growing?

Yes, it’s getting massive now and got another little one popped up. Do I take it out?

Thanks:

It’s a macro algae which won’t do any harm. It will suck up excess nitrates and phosphate. You can always trim it back. Jealous of it, looks great.

Initially I'm thinking Ulva Latuca but not seen that in red before

Halymedia species most likely? Possibly Porphyraeformis?
Maybe email these guys with a photo for ID? info@livealgae.co.uk. They sometimes buy algae so if you don't want it maybe cash in?
