Still no idea what that weird see-through creature was and haven't seen it again since... The red plate-like things are also growing slowly. I think they might be some kind of Macro Algae from what I see in other forums. Either way, it doesn't seem intrusive and is a nice addition to the back of the tank. I've got quite a few pineapple sponges growing at the back of the tank as well.
The spikey sponge which we also can't identify is still in the same hole he was found in, even though I've moved that rock around many times and has made two little babies. You can just about make them out in the photo below. They kinda grew out of it, along one of its spikes until they reached the end and then attached themselves to the rock and not moved (as far as I can tell that is)
Other than that, I'm struggling with GHA and Bryopsis but have introduced some macroalgae to reduce my nitrates which seems to be working as they have come down from 20 -40 to around 5 -10 in just a week. However I'm guessing it's more to do with the GHA and Bryopsis that are using the nitrates giving me a false reading... The Cryptonemia Crenulta is showing signs of starting to grow so hopefully, the readings will become more "accurate" in the coming weeks.
I'll also be going to the pharmacy to pick up a ridiculous amount of Fluconazole to treat all 300l in my tank. I may go to multiple pharmacies though as I don't want to increase my embarrassment factor any more!
Here are a couple of pics of the Cryptonemia Crenulta growth - amazing given I only added it to my tank on Tuesday! Yesterday I noticed little growth out of the leaves and this morning this is what I saw :-)
My water test today indicated that my calcium levels are a bit low so have ordered some Red Sea Foundation ABC to start dosing and getting some GSP from Ratvan to add to my collection :-)
Updated enough Sir?? :-)
