Haven't been on for a while - will update my tank log with some recent pics in a bit but can you id these for me?  Is the first one aiptasia?  The second one is on my candy cane - can't get a great pic but they look like white tubes?  Sorry pics upside down!

Im still on a learning curve but my opinion is based on trawling through countless hitchhiker web pages while I was waiting for my tank to cycle!

Possibly vermetid snails/worms on your candy cane. They look like they stick out from the rock too much to be mini feather dusters.

Other pic with mushrooms looks like aptasia but I have been wrong before when it was a bleached palythoa.

Hi Deb

Yes it’s is a vermetid snail, harmless in small numbers but can grow in numbers if there’s a lot of food particles in the water, they send out a sticky line to catch food wich can irritate corals if there’s a lot of them.

That is a aip too

Is the current thinking with aiptasia still to inject them with a kalkwasser mix?
I too have been away for a while.
